Sheet-fer -Brains



This is a lesson on folds. Apparently I do better with charcoal on folds, because in this picture, I made the sheet look like an inflatable pool raft.

Listen - those damn folds are a pain. When you check my blog look for the painting called "Yellow Bowl" and you'll see my struggle with the same thing. They tell me practice makes perfect but who has time to practice - I want immediate gratification and paint cost too much - Ha!

You ain't kiddin. I understand the "starving artist" concept, but I got a family to feed!
I think the cloth in your yellow bowl looks pretty good. Just a little stiff, but the folds came out well. I did a folds assignment in charcoal a year ago, and it turned out very well compared to this one.
