Midtone Pyramid

I had to retrace everything, plus add some new things & take away some of the stippling, because my instructor didn't want me to confuse texture with value. I personally think one can compliment the other or used to make the other: stippling, or dotting, is based on the fact that rough surfaces cast many small shadows across a plane, thus indicating a texture of the surface through small value changes.
But he's trying to teach me more about placement of shadows as well as different values of different shadows, so I can't really argue.
