A Band of Devils

Not too many people using the blogs these day, seems like Facebook is taking up all their attention.
Jas got his leg chopped off on Wednesday, the docs took it off a little below the knee--an ideal amputation, if you want to call it that.  They've got some more restructuring and patch-up work to do, so he'll be in the hospital for the next couple weeks.  It's better than keeping a leg that will give you nothing but pain and infection for possibly years to come.  Hopefully he'll be up for the concert in July, it'd be cool to have him and even Jimmy there.

Last weekend we grilled out at our house for the first time this season, and ended up with way too many burgers.  That's not a bad thing, as I found out, since I got to eat left-over burgers for days following.  This weekend finds us in Devils Lake visiting my dad and checking out Devils Run, which is always an awesome time!  The parade is in about an hour, and hopefully will be rain-free, but those clouds look a little iffy right now...

The band's doing great, we played the Hub last Tuesday and were asked by one of the employees if we wanted to do a show in July with another band that hangs around there called Rotting Thought (former members of Inkedindecision).  I'm REALLY hoping we get to finally play in the Town Square this year, too.
We get a much better response than I thought we would--people around here actually enjoy a little Psychobilly when you rub their noses in it!
Hopefully we'll have a demo ready soon so we can start whoring ourselves out as working musicians.

The comic?  That's tough.  Let's just say it's on temporary hiatus right now.  I would NEVER abandon this story--I still love thinking about getting back to it.  It's just that I've got other things going on right now.  Music, Jas, not to mention I've been rediscovering some lost love for my charcoal drawings (see most recent example above).  But I will get back to it.  Maybe not this month, but soon!
